DELTARUNE Fight How to PvP (Versus)
Queue a friend from the Party menu and survive the first two turns.
PvP in DELTARUNE Fight is not a separate queue in the Roblox server browser. It is VERSUS, a button on the Party menu, bottom-right, and it only appears when more than one person is in your party. That sentence is the entire missing tutorial. The rest of this page is how not to waste the duel once it starts.
If you have not finished a Dojo fight, stop and read Getting Started plus how to fight. Versus uses the same soul box. It just aims at a human who also has Rude Buster.
How to start a duel
- Invite or join until two or more players share a party.
- Open the Party menu (C/M, then Party — see controls).
- Look at the bottom-right. VERSUS lives there, not in Castle Town signage.
- Confirm. You are now in a player fight, not a Dojo dummy.
If the button is missing, you are solo. Adding Jevil as an NPC ally does not count as a second person. VERSUS is human versus human.
The two-turn problem
Commenters already mapped a burst on this game: timed Rude Buster can land around 62, and two follow-up hits can add about 32. If Ralsei is at 94% HP or lower and you banked TP on turn one, he can die on turn two. That is why “I picked the healer, I am safe” is false in Versus.
If you are the healer: DEFEND or hide HP. Do not sit at 90% and ACT flavor text. If you are the burst: skip the cute turn-one ACT. Farm TP, then MAGIC. Susie is the default nuke — character tier list and the PvP tier list both start there.
Turn plan that actually works
Turn 1
- Lead: DEFEND or a cheap ACT that does not dump TP.
- Burst: FIGHT only if you can crit-time; otherwise DEFEND for TP.
- Healer: DEFEND. Full stop.
- Flex: ITEM only if someone is already chipped.
Turn 2
- If you have TP: Rude Buster the healer or the highest threat.
- If you do not: FIGHT bar, then reassess.
Turn 3+
- Long boxes favor Ralsei again. Short boxes favor Susie. Knight is reported nerfed, so do not pick him just because he is scary in the official RPG.

Party rules for PvP
Bring one healer, one burst, one lead, one flex. Four bursts looks clever until nobody can tank a box. Four healers looks safe until a timed MAGIC deletes the first fluffy boy and the rest fold. Use the party planner and the Fun Gang roles.
Do not import a three-Jevil PvE stack into Versus and call it a strategy. That is a sandbox toy from the bosses page.
Etiquette and practical limits
Server size is 25, but a Versus fight is still a party-sized mess. Ping will desync soul positions. If a pattern looks unfair, it might be delay, not a cheat. Scripts for auto-dodge would also be a TOS issue — see the Scripts Hub rather than accusing someone in chat on frame one.
If you came to PvP because PvE is too sandbox, good. Just remember money from wins is for a future shop, not a ranked ladder. There is no official ELO. Your “rank” is whether your friends still queue with you after you Rude Buster Ralsei on purpose.
After the duel
Change one slot. If you lost because you could not time FIGHT, that is a controls problem, not a roster problem. If you lost because the healer died first, read the burst math again. If you lost because Pink is new and you do not know the pattern, open Saturday Pink instead of rage-swapping the whole team.
